The Transducer Research Foundation (TRF) is pleased to announce the Bryzek Abundance Award. This award will recognize emerging researchers in MEMS and Microsystems whose work significantly contributes to the vision of Abundance.
The award is given in honor of Janusz Bryzek, who was a pioneering and prolific MEMS entrepreneur who started 11 companies and was committed to the vision of Abundance.
Abundance refers to a future in which all of humanity has access to clean water, food, energy, health care, housing, education and everything else to live an abundant fulfilling life due to rapid developments in exponential technologies including MEMS.
Selection Process
Winning applications will be those that best exemplify the application of MEMS and Microsystems to the spirit of Abundance. Thus, applications will be evaluated on the potential of the research to have a significant effect on a global problem, rigor and creativity of the research, and impact in the real world through e.g. entrepreneurial activities, commercialization, collaboration with non-profit organizations, etc.
