The Transducer Research Foundation (TRF) is a nonprofit organization whose purpose is to stimulate research within the United States in science and engineering, with emphasis on technologies related to transducers and microsystems, and to foster the exchange of ideas and information.
A prime activity of the TRF is sponsorship of a biennial workshop on solid-state sensors and actuators that has become popularly known as the "Hilton Head Workshop" because it has been held in Hilton Head, SC since its inception in 1984.
Technical Digests for past Hilton Head Workshops are available and may be ordered here.
