 Official Language The official language of the conference is English and will be used for all presentations and printed materials. Passport and Visa All foreign visitors desiring to enter the United States must have a valid passport. Participants from countries requiring visas should apple to the American Consular offices or diplomatic mission in their countries. For details, please consult your travel agent or the nearest American consulate. Conference Management can send you a letter of invitation to the conference. Send a request by email to info@inss2005.org. No funds are available to assist with travel and registration fees cannot be waived. If, for some reason, your visa application is denied, your registration fees will be refunded to you in full. Climate The weather in San Diego in October is pleasant with the following temperatures: Normal High: 71°F/22°C Normal Low: 61°F/16°C Currency Exchange Only US dollars are acceptable at regular stores and restaurants. The exchange rate fluctuates daily. For current exchange rates, please visit http://www.exchangerate.com. Traveler's Checks and Credit Cards Credit cards, including MasterCard®, Discover®, Diners Club®, Visa® and American Express®, and traveler's checks are accepted at most hotels, restaurants, department stores, and souvenir shops. Tipping Standards 15% is standard for meals. For skycaps, doormen, porters and bellman, $1.00 per bag is standard and $1.00 per night for housekeeping. Electricity Electricity throughout the United States is 110V, 60 Hz. Conference Attire Attire during the duration of the conference is business casual. Cellular Phones, Pagers and Watch Alarms As a courtesy to our speakers and other attendees, please turn off any cellular phones, pagers and watch alarms during sessions. Cameras and Video Tape Recording Cameras and video tape recorders are strictly prohibited in the sessions, poster presentations and the exhibit area. Film or video will be confiscated. Smoking All meeting rooms and seated functions are smoke free. Please adhere to the smoking policy of the San Diego Marriott Mission Valley. |
